Programme’s Philosophy

The Doctoral of Philosophy Programme in Business Administration follows the progressivism educational philosophy which emphasises on the learning by doing that can lead to innovation. The graduates will have the vision in sustainably managing the business in the dynamic environment, and be able to connect the world, regional, and local knowledge to solve the problem and develop the business in the rapidly changing environment.

Programme’s Objectives

To produce the graduates who can build the business knowledge that will benefit the organisation and country. The graduates of this programme will possess the following characteristics:
1.    Being expert and able to conduct the business research and propose the guidelines for business development
2.    Having ethics and morality in conducting research and business while responsible for the society
3.    Being able to connect the world, regional, and local business knowledge, develop from the current knowledge, and build the new knowledge to the academic world or management

• PLO1:.Demonstrate advanced knowledge and competence in the latest academic theories business administration
• PLO2: Demonstrate effective research skills including formulation of research problem; design of a research study; data analysis; ability to summarize and present the results
• PLO3: Demonstrate integration from business disciplines to generate novel ideas, strategies, and practical approaches to address business issues
• PLO4: Generate, evaluate, and assess the ethical obligations and responsibilities of business for the purpose of responsible management.
